21 and 22 for kafhime? pretty please?
"of course i liked you.” Kafhime (this one more inspired it, than incorporated it, hope that's fine with you anon)
Kafka watches the sky, unable to do anything else, the rattling noise in her chest no longer feeling like breathing but dragging something inevitable out, way past its due. Of all the ways to go, it could be worse: her vision is only impeded by Himeko, bright as the sun, Kafka's blood on her cheeks. Lesser romances have ended before they got to this true crescendo, but Himeko's tears are ruining the joy of such a brilliant death.
"Did we not have a good time?" Kafka says, each word exhaled another inch of living lost, and there's not much to spare.
"We could have had more," Himeko replies, tears in her throat, and she's so terrifyingly beautiful lit up with rage at all she has lost and is losing, a goddess in her own right.
“i thought we were past this.” Kafhime
As Himeko comes around the corner of the hotel, Kafka grabs her by the wrist and pulls her into the alley, covering Himeko's mouth with her gloved hand. It's all courtesy, all Himeko's intricately detailed text messages dictating their evening ahead.
"Still such a stickler for these clandestine meetings," Kafka says, perhaps a bit disappointed, the allure of secrecy beginning to lose its sheen. "I thought we would be past this by now."
"When you stop being a problem, maybe," Himeko says, and at least the small cruelty is a delicious treat to wedge into her heart when she goes to sleep alone later.
