K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?
Er, I can’t tell you about the one coming up, because I’m writing it and it’s a surrpriiiiiiise, but of the ones I’ve already posted? Well, there’s the post GITF conversation in A Question of Worth (and man that tore my heart out while they were having it out in my head) but I suppose the killer for me is what we see in Rose’s mind in The Enemy of Morpheus. That was...incredibly difficult to write- the self-loathing, despair and hopelessness...Yeah I’d have to say that one.
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?
Oh yes, absolutely- whump, cheating fic (where it is Rose and/or the Doctor cheating, OR fic where cheating is glorified or promoted for any character), Rose or the Doctor die fic (LOL, that is a hell NO), any fic that deliberately degrades characters or glorifies physical or mental harm, pornstar AU, rape fic ( I don’t object to fics that deal with sexual assault well, of course, but that is entirely different to rape fic)...to name a few, lol.
I’m not a huge fan of baby/kid fic although I have seen fics where I didn't mind it, but it has to be really well done and not the main point of the story. Not that I have anything against those fics where it is, it’s just not what I personally want to read is all.
Y: A character you want to protect.
ROSE. ALWAYS ROSE. And Nine. I love Ten, don’t get me wrong, but Nine is just so raw and vulnerable and....COME HERE BABIES.
Also, switching to HP for a moment- Hermione, yes, obviously but also SIRIUS BLACK. That poor man copped the rawest deal- his best friends murdered, betrayed by a close friend, jailed in hell for YEARS, forgotten by everyone, escape to save godson, live on the run, trapped in house of horrors and the source of much trauma, and then DEAD. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. NOT ON MY WATCH.
