as a german fun fact about the amount of syllables: it's just because english compound words aren't written together most of the time while german ones are. so e.g. "orange juice machine" looks a lot less complex than "orangejuicemachine" even if it's the exact same words - or in german "Orangen Saft Presse" / "Orangensaftpresse". otherwise it's pretty much the same :)
