Nolan, how do you get such crisp and smooth lines in your preview pictures? Specifically when you're cutting out your Sims.

Hey! It's good to see you active again! Anyway, to answer your question, here's a short tutorial of sorts. Requires Adobe Photoshop!

I take most of my screenshots in CAS with a plain white background. My go-to is this one by @luumia and I use SRWE to up my resolution. I also use GShade with a custom preset.

Once I get the shot I like, I hop into Photoshop CC and select the background with the Magic Wand Tool with the tolerance level set to 15 and anti-aliasing on. After everything is selected, I delete the background and make sure the Sim is its own layer. This method leaves a tiny pixel border of white around the Sim so I have a little wiggle room to clean up the edges.

After that's done, I select the cut out Sim and go to the Select tab, and choose Select and Mask. This will prompt a window to open that allows you to refine the edges of your selection. These are the settings I have autosaved:

That's it! Your Sim should be cut out cleanly and have nice sharp edges. I can mostly rely on this process without having to do any manual selections, but if they're wearing a light colored garment, I may change the color of my CAS background or I'll just do a few manual selections here and there. I hope this helped!

This request session seemed to just be the time for beautiful Asian ladies, although to be fair when @funboysims asked for a spouse for Gen three of his Noble legacy there were no specifics given besides that the Sim should have a pet of some kind. And since that was the first request I got, I started working on it first and well, to my surprise when the rest came through there were more requests for Asian Sims :D The adorable puppy companion happens to be a Husky/Welsh Corgi mix that’s as cute as he is tiny.

This is a private download. So why are you posting it, I hear you ask. Well, firstly, so I can list off all the needed CC in an easy to find place for both Zack and anyone else who might want to find it. But also to say, Sim and pet requests are still open. Just head on over here to check it out.

Minimal CC used is as followed ~

Skin overlay / Lashes / Cheekbones / Birthmarks / Blush & Highlighter (second row - Dewy Skin Pack) / Lipstick (TSR) / Eyeliner (TSR) / Hair

Change anything and everything you want, also sorry for the TSR content, I didn’t realise those two things were from there until afterwards when I was gathering the CC.

how do you play your legacy? do you let your sims do whatever they want and only direct them sometimes, or are you always queuing up things for them to do? I'm really curious, I'd love to hear about your method for your legacy.

So previous to this latest update, I would mostly just let them do what they wanted unless I had to take specific photos for storytelling purposes. But idk if it’s the update or I’ve probably got an outdated mod, but they will just stand around and take ages even to do what I’ve queued for them. Which is a right pain in the ass because then they’re all just standing idle in the background. But mostly they would normally just do what they want, with a little guidance from me. :)
