f(x) was the first group that showed me that title tracks weren’t always the best songs a group had to offer, and that concept albums existed in k-pop. I’ve never been disappointed by an f(x) album, and although the group may never release music as f(x) anymore, they left behind a treasure trove of music, which is the best a music fan can ask for. Top 30 f(x) Songs
My ult girl group, critical darlings and the undisputed queens of having a flawless discography. Let's talk about the f(x)print for a second. Y'all may not remember this, but there was a time when critics panned k-pop albums as mostly filler material with the title track being the one and only good song. Everything changed when f(x) dropped Electric Shock (2012) and Pink Tape (2013). f(x) albums became community events - you knew with each album you were getting at least 6-7 unique songs that could carry you for the whole year until their next promotion. And f(x) had no fandom name/color/merch and barely promoted - these new fans wouldn't know what to do with the lack of content. Alas, quality over quantity is the f(x) way, and the plethora of good albums coming out of k-pop since 2015 owe a lot to f(x). This list could have been much longer, but here are my top 30 songs from my lovely f(x) ladies:
