Fungus of the day is this beautiful white bolete, along with some mushy brown mushies, and a lovely bread and butter coloured bolete found with some big bites taken out of it
Fungus of the day is suilus grevillei Tamarack jack!
Distinctive brown sticky top and honeycomb pores.
Gomphodius glutinosus also chillin' with all the slippery jacks (the chonky grey mushroom). They're a freeloader on the same mycorrhizal network as the larch boletes!
Lots of brown mushrooms today! And a yellow one. Just chill little brown mushrooms
Fungus of the day is orange sprinkles
Some lovely mushies today showing fall colours, a lawn full of robust orange clusters, some big browns in the woods, and lovely slimy suillus
Fungus of the day is this well-past-fresh sweet tooth hedgehog mushroom. At least it's nice to have a new confirmed hedgehog spot 🦔
Winter's grip is loosening on these lichens, mosses, and fungi of the day
