NEED A BASE FIGURE FOR YOUR FUNKO POP CUSTOM?

Planning to make a Funko pop custom figures of a character you love but you don't know what pop figure you are going to use to make it? 

Message me what's your character, what media it's from, and any specific outfits or items and I'll give you my recommendation of the figure (s) you should use! I'll try finding the figure accessable, cheap, and hopefully not vaulted.

So I just bought two Star Wars Pops! but I had no idea they were bubbleheads and the wobbling bobbling all the time is bothering me as heck. Do you happen to know if there's a way to stabilize them and keep them like a regular Pop? Thanks!

I do! Well, this is what I do anyway. When this happens I put a cottonball or two (How many is needed) in the head to try and stabilize it. If you don’t have a cotton ball paper towels do work too. 

Star Wars and Marvel Pops are all bobbleheads, unfortunately, so this problem has come up more then I’d like. :/

(About the Suicide Squad pops) I'm pretty sure that Funko confirmed via Twitter that there'd be Pops of the movie but i could be wrong.

I also think that Suicide Squad is going to have a theme in the DC collectors box, I could be wrong about that though too.

I haven’t heard anything on Suicide Squad. I’d be EXTREMELY surprised if there aren’t any. Especially with DC releasing a subscription box like Marvel/Star Wars

What funko tag do you go through for your queue?

Normally when I’m making up my queue I go through the funko tag. But I’ve also frequented funko pop, pop funko, and pop! Tags

How do you make those awesome custom pops?! Also I just got into these do you suggest I keep them packaged or does it not matter? And also I'm looking for two specific ones, winged castiel, and venom. What would be the best spots to start looking?

Thanks!! Um I use acrylic paints. And if you ever need to switch up a head and body you boil a funko in water and the heads are pretty easy to come off. You can just superglue it to a different body. (unless it’s a Marvel/Star Wars bobble, those body bases aren’t as stable).

As for boxed vs unboxed it all depends on what kind of collection you want to have. If you’re collecting to eventually sell/flip you would definitely want to keep you pops in box. They build their worth that way. I personally keep them unboxed but it’s really collectors choice.

As for Winged Castiel, he is a hot topic exclusive. The Supernatural fandom is pretty popular so he isn’t available through their website anymore. He’s on Amazon but that can be pricey. You can also find him, and other rare in the US funkos, on Popcultcha (this is an Australian vendor). Or test your luck on eBay. 

Venom is another story. He’s a Walgreens exclusive funko. I’m actually in the search of him as well. Him, Black Suit Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 and Punisher were all released as Walgreens funkos.
