Funky Buddha Manhattan Double Rye on tap at Enzo’s Hideaway in Orlando. A 3 of 4. When I ordered this 12.7% beer, I did not expect a pour of this size, but I’m thankful for it, as it is quite good. Has a ton of the qualities of a Manhattan you’d expect with lots of rye spiciness and barrel notes, as well as just a touch of dark fruit. To be clear -- this is not the cocktail, but it’s a pretty nice interpretation of it as a beer.

Funky Buddha AW19/20 Collection

My cousin, who’s more like a brother, came to FL for an overnight stay and he wanted to try some local beer since he’s from out of state. This was the bottle cap to one of the six he bought. I’m not much of an alcohol drinker, but seeing all the funky labels for local breweries made me want to start taste testing local breweries more often. Anyways, it was nice spending time with him. He’s great company. It’s even better that him and my Person got along famously. It made for an even better night. Family is cool.

Funky Buddha’s Hop Gun IPA on tap at Jaleo in Orlando. A 3 of 4. Pretty classic hop profile with orange citrus and some pine in the background. Nice light body with a touch of caramel malt sweetness, and a dry, bitter finish. A solid, pretty traditional west coast IPA.
