My freezer friend sent me this picture of his zombified squash.

Couldn't help but think of Tom Hanks in Cast Away and his 'friend' Wilson. Also made me think of childhood 'friends' and the discarded 'friends' I find in charity shops, on pavements and those stuffed into fences or left on poles.

Such finds are a rarity now, but each one makes me smile to know that some imaginations are running outside of technology. Makes me want to seek out and reacquaint myself with some of the 'friends' I've found since being on the Emerald Isle.

So ... breakfast first and then I'm heading into the lounge with my camera ...

Food Art Series: Duck Squash

As requested by @yuro_kat here's more duck shaped vegetation. Because they're kind of cute and fun to make. Hahaha

At the moment I'm a guest at my mum's and enjoy the big space in the house and garden that I've exchanged against my top floor apartment. Among renovating, doing yoga and taking advantage of the big kitchen I especially enjoy the garden and proudly present you my first ever harvestet carrots, accompanied by two wonderful specimens of kohlrabi.

Ich bin momentan bei meiner Mama zu Gast und genieße den Platz in Haus und Garten, den ich gegen mein Dachgeschoss-Wohnung eingetauscht habe. Zwischen Renovieren, Yoga machen und die große Küche ausnutzen genieße ich vor allem den Garten und präsentiere euch hier stolz die ersten Möhren, die ich je geerntet habe, begleitet von zwei wunderschönen Kohlrabi-Exemplaren.
