My husband watches The Untamed, vol. 12, eps. 26-27
Episodes 26 and 27: Another double feature tonight!
Ugh, the décor in the banquet hall in Carp Tower is so tacky and garish. Nowhere near as beautiful as Lotus Pier or Cloud Recesses.
Lan Xichen: “Did you invite Su She?” Jin Guangyao: “Yes…?” My husband: “Dude, not cool.”
It’s so so sad when Wen Qing is searching the dead for Wen Ning, in the rainstorm. She’s ordinarily so stoic, and she’s so destroyed in this scene.
Husband caught a film flub! When Wei Wuxian is playing Chenqing to control brand new zombie Wen Ning, husband said, “Why is his hair dry?” He’s right! Wei Wuxian’s hair was soaking wet right before, and is soaking wet again after, but is blowing around dry in the wind during those shots. “Ah, summoning evil spirits dries your hair. I see.”
My husband to Lan Zhan during the umbrella scene: “SAY SOMETHING.” Then, after he steps aside and lets Wei Wuxian and the Wens go past, my husband asked, “Did he even speak at all?” (I reminded him that yes, he had a COUPLE of lines, but it’s true this was mainly a “Lan Zhan speaks with his eyes” scene. As most of his scenes are.)
My husband is increasingly annoyed with everyone piling on to condemn Wei Wuxian. Jin folk: “He did contribute to the battle somewhat during the Sunshot Campaign, but…” My husband: “You mean when he SAVED all your asses?”
The proper debut of A-Yuan! He’s so cute. Husband laughed at the planting of him as a turnip, especially when Wei Wuxian suggested planting more aunts to add to the labor force.
Jiang Cheng showing up at Burial Mounds: Wei Wuxian: “Jiang Cheng! What do you think, turnips or potatoes?” Jiang Cheng: *glare* My husband: “Dude, you got me in SO much trouble. No vegetable jokes.”
Long live the Yiling Patriarch.
