I finally decided after a long time to make a blog for my art. It’ll mostly end up being a lot of my fanart but I’ll do my best to thrown in some of my original work too.
For now, I thought I’d share some half finished drawings of the Phantom Five (minus Clayton) just because I love their design, but also haven’t had enough motivation to finish them haha.
I was originally going to use my markers to colour them all in, but my pale skin tone marker ran out as I was colouring Joanne, so I decided to do mixed media instead. I used a mixture of watercolour pencils and tube watercolour to do Soma, and I’ll probably use pencils and inks to do the other two but I’m not 100% sure yet.
these two boybands were like the LITERAL manga version of the wanted and one direction except one of them has already gone on a ‘hiatus’ whilst the other’s fate remains unknown
I'd like to draw attention to the fact that in the Phantom Five performances there is a CORD coming out of Cheslock's violin. Probably one of Sullivan's ingenious inventions. That's right, you heard it here first: Cheslock played the Electric Violin.
-If the s4 are the squad that goes out during the day and goes to chill cafes and picnics along the lake under their fave gazebo, then the f5 are the squad that fucking go to Macca's at two in the morning and freakin dick around in parking lots and snapchat the entire thing after
-Their night time pics are either them covering their face in the aesthetic(tm) way with some really grungey caption like, ‘this generation of kids is brainwashed by artificial light’ (i’d provide examples but the examples are on classmates’ private instagrams) or real life shit posting with captions like, ‘reblog if edward go t t a goo fast’
-Late night shit posting and memeing
-Cheslock: ”Y A I N T” Clayton: “YOU ALL ARE NOT”
-Board game sessions always end in hysterics and discourse, most of the games they own are bluffing and sabotage games.
-Joanne always wins bc who would d a r e accuse him of being the bad guy(he immediately apologizes afterwards)
-Clayton always is t h i s close to winning as a good person but no one listens to him and he always goes, "I TOLD Y'ALL, Y'ALL ARE FOOLS, FOOLS! !! !"
-Cheslock and Edward are always at each other's throats, trying to accuse the other of being the bad guy but it ends in both their downfall
-Soma's too nice and is often a bad liar, he's good at calling out on bullshit in games tho
-Cheslock, Edward and Clayton are the kinkshame trio, often calling each other out while Soma and Joanne just lurk bc wth are they talking abt
-They made a don’t google it policy for those two
-Soma hosts the b e s t sleepovers, he makes the comfiest forts, the food is top-notch and Agni is the best person honestly, Cheslock and Joanne wanna move in with him.
-Study sessions (aka everyone freak out @ Clayton)
-Honestly, the squad literally travelled to the same place Edward was having national fencing comps just to support him once
-Then another time, they literally hung out at Joanne’s work for 4 hours waiting for him, Joanne was touched. (This is an actual thing a friend and her squad did I shit you not)
-”Couldn’t we just come pick him up later?” -Edward Midford
-The only time Joanne had ever hit someone was when he punched Edward in the face for doggy earing a page of one of Joanne’s books, Edward got a nose bleed and everyone was terrified
-If there is any drama directed to anyone of the squad or the s4, Clayton is your man for resolving shit quickly. He is the master of pulling out the receipts and calling out bullshit.
-If anyone in the squad feels down, they either hit up Cheslock or Soma bc they're good at being really comforting and sweet but have the best real talk(tm).
-Cheslock is the guy who always tells people to check out his soundcloud, but it's actually good so everyone wins
-Edward had to bring Lizzy along a few times, same w Cheslock and his little sis
-Joanne’s older sisters sometimes bump into his squad and either embarrass the poor child or buy them food
-Soma has talked about his extended family a few times and Clayton is baffled
-Clayton adjusts his glasses with his middle finger

Okay... if we’re going to start including boy bands in victorian era England around the time where a ballet that was so shocking that it caused a literal riot in Paris , and write it off as “because demons and shit have interfered with this Universe’s timeline” -Which is an okay way to explain a plot hole, I admire yana for explaining it for dorks like me that are like thaT IS NOT HISTORICALLY ACCURATE!!!!!IWLKFNLKFNLKS instead of leaving it open-ended and driving history nerds nuts.
But ON this logic, freaking any song would be mind-blowing to Victorians. So what if Seb decided to troll everyone and introduce... I don’t know... “Never Going to Give You Up” early, rick roll everyone 100 years before it was a meme. Or like... have the Funtom Five perform a Brittany Spears song and just be giggling in the corner because he knows, and no one else does.
Maybe I’m the only one that would find that hilarious.
I would just like to take a minute to acknowledge the beauty of the characters and plot of the Weston College arc. The characters are great and they come back awesomely as the S4 and the Funtom Five, and I just love them. They are my babies.
