Epipedobates tricolor, the Phantasmal Poison Frog this morning in the #FuquaConservatory. Tricolors are the most conspicuous frogs in the Conservatory and they are particularly active in the mornings when the plants have been heavily watered. Only 15 of these frogs were released into the Conservatory in the mid 90's ... Another 15 a few years later and now there are hundreds. Puerto Rican Coqui, Eleutherodactylus coqui tonight in the Conservatory. We had an opportunity to do a quick nocturnal survey after Peter Raven's eye-opening presentation on plant conservation and saving ourselves from the path on which we are heading. This champion #Coqui didn't seem to mind me shining my torch on him while he called and he allowed me to shoot this quick video.
