Our visit at vet vision went well today 🙂 Journey does have cataracts in both eyes. The left eye is progressing way less than the right. Journey's right eye is almost completely gone sight wise. Her ocular pressure is normal. She isn't in any pain. Both eyes have become operable and she is a candidate for surgery unless the retina is detached which we wouldn't know until we agreed to surgery. The total cost of both eyes is around $5,000. There is an 80% chance she will regain vision with the procedure. If I don't proceed with surgery, she needs to be rechecked in six months. I'm very hopeful of getting the procedure but definitely don't have an extra $5,000 😉 I am taking this decision slow and seeing what my options will be in the next several months.
