Progress on the steampunk furby! The wings are posable!
The steampunk furby is complete!
I present to you Bronze-beak Cogwing Wormigear (worm in gear) or Wormigear for short!
Finally the steampunk furby is complete! I am taking name suggestions as I have no clue/ideas at the moment. Originally the plan was for the it to be done over winter break but I worked a bunch and didn't have the time. But when the new semester started I had my weekends free again. Me and my sister listened to the jack and the cuckoo-clock heart sound track while working on this furby so that provided inspiration as that movie has some steampunk elements to it. As I said in a previous post the wings can move and are poseable as they can move in and out. They also have clasps to keep them closed if needed. The wings are made from popsicle sticks, wooden dowels, fabrics, epoxy sculpt, and gears from the craft store. I can make a detailed sketch of how they work if anyone's interested in replicating them. The top hat is made from felt and cardboard! Anyway I had a blast working in this furby and there will some cool photoshoot of it to come!
