Finally, after having my grapesicle 05 furb for 19 years (as of writing this), I've gotten her a matching husband! Yet to be named, this lovely boy is absolutely ecstatic to have a new home. (and a wife!)

This new blue furb came to me in gorgeous condition, besides one small detail. His foot was cracked on the bottom, and a little loose. I took his foot off with the intent to glue the crack back together, but found underneath his entire foot was shattered inside! I carefully took as many pieces as I could and superglued them back together, and then reinforced the inside with some hot glue (not pictured). His foot was then carefully reassembled and screwed back on. It worked out perfectly, and no original parts were lost!
Big Momma (my grapesicle) also underwent repairs the same day, as her battery contacts were showing some signs of age and both her motors unfortunately seized (you might remember about five years ago when she had the same issue!) The repairs went perfectly!
2005 Sand is super cute and floofy and luscious with her new beak and her glow up is amazing😍 Can't wait to fix the beaks on the other 05's I have now. i love my new headphones. i bought them because my airpods aren’t working as well anymore. and i’ve always been annoyed that they fall out of my ears sometimes. and also they’re complete bricks when they run out of battery. though i must give credit to them for charging super fast.
my new marshall iv bluetooth headphones are so lovely. i like that they’re brown. it’s an underrated color. it also comes with an audio jack! so they’re still useful they run out of battery.
(i’ve been in online meetings where my airpods ran out of juice and i had to use the computer’s microphone, which sucks. the ui on the mac sucks, too. it makes you think that it’s a bluetooth connectivity issue and it doesn’t tell you that it’s because your airpods’ve run out of battery. so i wasted a lot of time trying to reconnect my airpods when i could’ve switched to my computer’s microphone immediately. i know i could’ve made sure that they’re charged before meetings, but sometimes meetings are impromptu. also i Need to listen to music when i work, so i haven’t got pockets of time to charge them.)
anyway, what REALLY precipitated this purchase was my chance encounter with my old ipod classic about a month ago. i charged it and to my pleasant surprise, it still works! i was obsessed with the idea of listening to music with it again. but i didn’t have a single pair of earphones with an audio jack. i was devastated. i looked up wired headphones online and found these marshall ones. they were about $200. i’d just bought a $500 sewing machine then, so i didn’t want to make another purchase on a whim. then last week i randomly looked up the headphones again and found that they were on sale on amazon for $160! there was a prime sale or something. i was ecstatic. i checked out immediately.
it has been so fun listening to music in these. i love cooking with them on. it’s nice. i was also surprised that i had a better time switching between my devices (computer, tablet, phone) compared to the airpods. what! my only gripe’s that they hurt my ear cartilages after several hours of use. i think it’s because the ear pads are sooo small! however i don’t think i would’ve bought them if they were any bigger. its smallness makes it cute. and i wanted something portable! they fold up real small and fit into my handbags. though it makes no sense for me to have portability as a criterion because i never go anywhere these days.

If anyone remembers me talking about getting this girl a while ago, here she is! It took quite a bit of time for her to get here, and even longer for me to take a picture worthy enough for her introduction! (My boyfriend came through with his photography skills, I could never)
