Yeah like....I understand it tbh, I really do. Evidently at one point she made a comic wherein she fetishized trans people but from my understanding that was a very old comic. I haven’t seen anything directly where she apologized for making it, I might have heard she took said comic down, but the point is I am a fan of her work and from what I can see she does not retain that perspective and has learned from it. EVEN THEN people don’t need to forgive her for that! I understand! You don’t have to read her content then! Shove that negativity out of your life, what the hell do you or anybody else gain by spreading that around?!

From MY perspective, I actually really admire her for trying her best to make her comics a fountain of positive energy and good vibes for many things that are considered taboo and looked down upon.

I understand some people being put off by that. I understand some people thinking she goes too far in the other direction and is romanticizing or spreading information about things that should be looked at from a more critical or reserved lens. All of those things are valid criticisms of her work.

But calling her a trash human, saying she looks like a who from horton hears a who, making fun of the fact that she has a giant armior of dildos--of course she does she reviews sex toys for a living????--using her comics in memes and just slandering her and spreading all this bullshit? Stop. Stop it. STOOOOOOP.

Typically GSNK (like most other shounen manga) do use “bad” words like kuso, but they’re not as harsh as stuff like shit or fuck, it’s the same level of rudeness as saying “crap” haha. Anime/manga translators like to spice things up when it comes to cursing ngl.

yea ! i mean i'm not gonna tell anyone who was personally affected by her comics of the past (which I had absolutely no idea of) that they're not entitled to be angry, but also like ! the mob mentality on this website is crazy & 100% the reason i don't go on here much anymore

I do my best to not let it effect me too much. I get a lot of gut-rage-reactions. But mostly I have tried my VERY best to just look at things from multiple angles. Even if I think people are being ridiculous I understand the rage and the emotion and the feelings and the points on both sides. I want to understand it all and come to a more nuanced conclusion myself. Maybe i could do better by trying to spread my thoughts sometimes? I don’t know, I usually do that and find more success in a one-on-one context, or in small groups of people where the conversation is more personal.

I find no real joy in making social media posts that might potentially get spread around with no real context and that people dont really absorb either and just reblog mindlessly. Not sure what to do here. 

I also don’t enjoy getting angry enough to MAKE a social media post. I get angry and I can get consumed by it and I don’t like the person I can become when I GET angry. So I try and keep that to a minimum.
