this story is such an interesting take and i agree that both hornetsting and the tide are not to trust.

but I wanted to ask a question about furleddusk. how is she finding motherhood? :3

Furleddusk has taken quite well to motherhood! One of the biggest reasons she wanted to take in Lightkit and Sweetkit is because she feels like she failed Gentlefern. He was young when his father died and Furleddusk shut down in her own grief and ignored him for a while. She wishes she did more for him, like how Frostspeck took in Rowanmask after her own sister died. She's grateful that Scorchglint was able to help him in ways she couldn't.
