If you are from AO3, or found me through the tags, welcome to the official tumblr of A Sinner Walks the Wasteland on archive of our own.

This is mostly a place for me to dump any fanart, and keep my readers informed of my progress on the chapters. Since I’m in college right now, and have very little time to sit down and goof off, the chapters will be longer to make up for the schedule change.

I would like to shoot for a chapter every two to three weeks (at best).

A little more information is under the cut, so if you would like to know more about Housamo, the fanfic this tumblr is for, or myself, then look under the cut.

If you have no idea what Housamo is, and somehow made your way here on accident and got curious, then let me explain.

Tokyo Afterschool Summoners, known as Housamo and TAS to the Japanese and English sides of the fandom respectively, is a LGBTQ turn-based card RPG and visual novel owned by Lifewonders. Set in Tokyo, which is walled off to the rest of the world, you play as an amnesiac teenager (which you can choose gender, body type and even pronouns for). The main purpose of the Visual Novel is to discover a way to get home, and to recover your memories of who you really are. The card RPG part of the game comes from the in-story idea of summoning beings to help fight with you.

I can sing the praises of this game, and while it also is for a specific demographic, it has fantastic storytelling and amazing characters from different mythologies. Half of the events and character quests are still being translated, but a significant portion of the main story is translated so you won’t be without content.

A Sinner Walks the Wasteland is a fanfic retelling of the game, with my character that I play as the protagonist. There a few changes here and there, like making certain character outfit choices more suited for the public (you can probably guess a few I mean) or smoothing out the many fights that the protagonist is apart of.

As for me, I’m a college student that wants to be a multi-media artist. I have a soft spot for the occult, cryptids, and mythology. I’m LGBTQ, and the ability to customize the pronouns and body type for the game is what drew me to it in the first place. I have been playing this game for less than a year (and yet, it’s become one of my most favorite series of all time, right up with .hack).

Anyone played KilaFlow? I got it after missing out on the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy sale by a minute and I surprised by how much fun I had. If I can muster the mental reflexes, I maaay consider it a first game to speedrun. Mina and Hollower is pretty neat too. I started off with the Hammer and I love how comfortable it feels with my calculated "mental frame data collecting" playstyle and I love how the game seems to reward that (esp with how invincibility works). The shield's description from the shop makes it seem like a neat skill ceiling weapon to play with too, but I think I'd wait for more knowledge on the game's combat.

Loved this story, even if it was discontinued after Book 1. It was one of the first things I ever encountered furry-wise, waaaay back around 2011. Even then, I didn’t read it, I just saw the artwork on the internet somewhere. I was actually able to get ahold of a copy as well as the game this past year, and they both surpassed expectations. The game is so fun! I wish I could make a cool card game to sell at cons or something. If anyone knows of any more furry games to find at cons or online, let me know! I’m interested in finding more games like this to play.

This Sunday 29/01/2016 - Think Tank Games (With Tempo!)

This Sunday is all about gaming!

This Sunday we have Tempo joining us and he brings along with him a guest! Jeremiah Heupel. Together they are the Lead Designer and CEO respectively of Think Tank Games!

ThinkTank Games is an independent studio based in North Dakota that creates tabletop and computer games. They have produced Nordguard: The Card Game, Allison & the Cool New Spaceship Body, Sinister Six-Pack, and coming out July 2017 Lackadaisy: The Card Game.
