This Sunday: Erdwolf!

We have a very special guest this Sunday Evening!

Meet Erdwolf; a well-traveled and slightly eccentric aardwolf from Cape Town, South Africa.  After procrastinating for nearly a decade, in 2016 he finally managed to batten down and finish his locally flavoured anthro science fiction novel.

By chance the manuscript found its way to the desk of GoAL publications in Connecticut, USA.  "When They All Come Together" is due for release early 2017.  (May you live in interesting times?)

South Afrifur Presents: Tarkan! This Sunday

This Sunday we have the pleasure of having one of the Turkish Furs join our channel, Tarkan. He’s been in the fandom for a fair few years and as we’ve been told he’s been working towards getting an active Turkish community going.

Since we seem to have a small soft spot for growing furry communities, since we’ve spoken to the Brazilians and ours being relatively small in comparison still, we’re more than happy to swap stories with this Wolf!

The art was once again done by our very talented artist: Raven Song!

Artist/LGBTQ Beware: Furstre.am 

These are just SOME of the things tweeted by the owner of furstre.am (The Actual Clawhaus/FurryJackTail). A streaming site supposedly ‘by furries, for furries’.  But is it?  When considering how LARGE of a number of furries not only identify as a gender other than male or female but are SUPPORTIVE of those who are non-binary as well. 

Personally I don’t have shit to lose from people unfollowing me because they aren’t supportive of LGBTQ. Since...yknow...a damn good chunk of the fandom....aren’t bigots. So if you’re prepping yourself to unfollow me. Get gone. <3 You won’t be missed.   ((To be clear. I -encourage- you not to use furstre.am but it’s not the source of my anger and I won’t be mad if you still use it. I WILL be mad if you’re a bigot. and again. You can get out. )) However furstream has MORE than a good share of people who either identify as a gender other than male or female OR support people who do. So probably not the brightest idea to publicly be a dick about a topic many people feel so strongly about. Maybe you should’ve kept that on your facebook in private with your other close-minded friends.  Because i agree 100000% with dalmy in this tweet here:

I’m pretty sure every intelligent person with a following is aware of this rule. You can have your opinion. Sure. but when you put it out there publicly.  By his own words (which i unfortunately missed the screenshot for) ‘im allowed to criticize your opinion’. Welcome to the other side of that double edged sword.

He also sent me this when he caught wind of my tweets ( and you can see my response above it ):

People. Are. People. I don’t give a fuck if someone identifies as a plant. Sure i may not agree with it but If that person has done no wrong to me there is no reason to purposely disrespect them. 

TL;DR I don’t believe in blatant assholery without reason and I won’t be supporting furstre.am.

This Sunday: Zannah L with a live-esque Audience!

Coming to you live from our monthly Gauteng Braai Event, we’ll have Zannah L, long time artist and con-goer of the furry fandom joining us. She’s one of the few furries that specialize in traditional art media and has a knack for Victorian styling. An interesting fur to meet to be sure, hope you guys tune in to have a listen to our guest!
