Tip for making cosplay animal ears:

Instead of gluing or taping the wire down, consider sewing it down instead! This will give them extra stability and security.

A zig zag stitch of some kind is perfect for this, and heavy duty needles (like the ones you might use to sew leather or fake fur) are great at sewing through thinner EVA foam! Mine pictured is 3mm foam. I’m not quite sure what gauge the wire is.

So he's a quick tutorial for ears to go with the one I drew the other day (these ears in particular are for my gryphon premade partial I'm working on). So, I also just figured something out that might help out with making somewhat realistic ears. If you want veins in the ears, you put down a line of glue and pinch it. Takes a bit of sculpting prowess. So first step, cut to shape. The fleece should be wider than the mesh. Fold the edges in on the mesh and the fleece over that and glue it all down the edges. Then glue all around the back to attach it to the rest of the fleece. I left the end unglued so I decide the curve I want for when its attached to the head. Call this part 1.
