Is his facial structure totally different? YES. But we haven’t seen Azusa’s brother in A Long Time, and it wouldn’t be the first time someone's appearance got a major overhaul (Elena, Takagi, even Azusa herself!)

What is similar is the dark wavy hair, fine parted bangs and thick brows.

The first image is a shot from the new movie, and appears directly between shots of Furuya and Kazami, implying there could be a connection there. In Zero's Tea Time, they and Azusa's brother bonded a bit as a trio... so it's possible this was canonized.

The main antagonist of the movie appears to be a rifleman!

Interestingly, Sugihito was suspected of a gun-related murder on his introduction on account of his shooting hobby. In Zero's Tea Time, he's gotten good enough to enter into competitions.

Finally, the movie's setting is a snowy mountain. Snowfall also played a key role in proving Sugihito's innocence.

I've long wondered what it would've been like had Amuro been present back during the case with Azusa's brother. Would he assist the police and treat the Enomotos as suspects, or would he believe in Azusa and support her defiance of them? She certainly wouldn't be able to give him the slip as easily as Takagi, but she also might have trusted him enough to reveal the message her "brother" sent her and let him accompany her to the warehouse...

Wait, where was I going with this? Uh.

Visual connections can be drawn between the new movie and the case involving Azusa's brother. I don't think he's ACTUALLY involved (wouldn't that be insane? I'd love a fic of it lol) but it would be fun if he made a quick appearance as a little wink to the audience.

Of course, this is all leading into my TRUE hope for the movie, which is

MORE AZUSA!!!

... And If I'm rambling about fanfiction wants and needs, I'd really love a story where Sugihito has to actually use his shooting skills to protect Azusa. Not murder, but like. Maybe she gets caught up with some criminals while the three are together, prompting Amuro to put Sugihito to work providing cover fire while he goes in to save her... I don't know, I'm crazy >>>.>>>

I always wonder if Amuro takes these things at face value or if he suspects Azusa might like him?

Like in this scene from Ep 942, it'd wouldn't be unusual if he thought she was going to ask him out, only for it to be about work scheduling lol Given how he guessed her reaction in the recent Kaito heist chapter, I personally think Amuro is convinced that nah, she's definitely not into him - which is extra funny since Azusa has similarly boxed herself into a corner of thinking someone like herself would never be dating Amuro. They've just gone ahead and convinced themselves of this, feeding into each other's assumptions by not considering any Maybes or What Ifs.

This is convenient for Amuro given his reasons for even being at Cafe Poirot, and for Azusa who fears backlash from Amuro's fans. It's comfortable, the way things are. But what's convenient and comfortable isn't always what's most fulfilling.

Oops, I turn this into an analysis thing. Anyways, Azusa is cute!!
