She loves him very much: Eliot hears it in her voice, sees it in her eyes, notices the way she rubs at the band on her finger whenever her words grow heavy with emotion. He’s familiar with the feeling.

Just to be polite, he finishes off his cup of tea and assures her that there’s no need for more. He’ll only be a minute, seeing as how Martin hasn’t been home for a long time now.

She asks him again how he knows her husband and Eliot weaves a beautiful story for her about how he wasn’t a student but audited a course out of curiosity: Professor Stein changed his life (a lie) and he intends to find him (the truth).

“Thank you, Ms. Stein - Clarissa, it’s been a pleasure speaking with you.”

Even though Eliot leaves the house empty-handed, he’s not without a lead. Everything always comes back to S.T.A.R. Labs.

She was lucky to find the lab door slightly ajar. For whatever reason her student keycard wasn’t working in this part of the building... possibly having something to do with the fact that she’d never been in this part of the building. The girl took another look at her campus map. If she was reading it correctly then this was lab 207... it just wasn’t the kind of lab she’d been looking for. 

Peaking inside, she found a startlingly white room filled wall to wall with advanced enough looking machinery that seemed less like it belonged in a college, even one as supposedly prestigious as this, and more like it belonged under lock down in some government building somewhere. And despite the door being open, the feeling of her not belonging anywhere near this place was instant. Still she was lost. Clearly. The young looking girl nudged the door open and trotted inside, dragging along a heavy looking backpack and an armful of books.  “Hello? Can anyone point me to the computer lab... you know, the -uh- normal one?”

    “Martin...” Sara couldn’t help but smiling softly at the sentiment. “You know        I’m just figuring this all out as we go, right? Although, I do have a deeper            respect for Rip after all of this cat-herding.

        “Whoo, boy, okay...” she tapped the small device on her chest, and got into position. Team Flash was doing a few simple tests regarding Katelin’s powers, specifically, her top speed. So, here she was. “Lemme know when I’m good to start, guys!” a bolt of green lightning sparked in her eyes.
