I have not gotten to the book part of Grace saving Rocky after Rocky saved him but I’ve seen some fanart and mentions of it and thinking about what I noted for that future chapter, I can’t decide if I want to make it so it’s more movie adjacent or book related with Reader being the one to save Rocky and getting burned.
EDIT (copy and pasted from the phm community I posted on): I realized I should’ve probably added a small explanation of what i was going for— long story short— I was formulating a lowkey depressed reader with suicidal ideation involved. It’s all pretty vague in the beginning but the later chapters are probably gonna express it more, especially during the angst scenes when reader feels like everything going wrong was their fault or they should’ve been the one to suffer the consequences and not Rocky and grace. So I was thinking if I went the movie route, reader wakes up to find Rocky holed up and basically spirals heavily thinking they should’ve just been left behind so Rocky and Grace could’ve escaped Adrian’s atmosphere. If I went book route (still haven’t read that part yet so idk the details) Reader wakes up from Rocky saving Grace and tries to help and then becomes the one to save Rocky and getting burnt instead of Grace. Again, whole spiral thing still happens after they save him. Haven’t fleshed that potential scenario out yet.
