buying a house #house
What does "purged" mean in the context of buying a manufactured home (mobile home) ?
Typically, manufactured homes are placed on a temporary foundation and titled (like a car). If a manufactured home is titled, it will have a Certificate of Title from the Division of Motor Vehicle Office in the county where the home is located. Oftentimes, these titled homes will be located in a manufactured home park. A titled manufactured home is valued and taxed separately from the land upon which it is located until the time that it is permanently affixed to the land.
Once a titled manufactured home is not capable of being drawn over the public highways and it has become permanently affixed to the land, the “purging” process will require that the home be inspected by the county to verify the permanent attachment to the land. In addition, the owner must submit the Certificate of Title and other required county documents. The title to the manufactured home will then be considered "purged" when the owner surrenders the home's title to the Colorado Department of Revenue, which will then delete (purge) the title from state records. The county will then have only one account and parcel number for the home, and only a deed will be required to transfer ownership of the property in the future.
Who said I was adult enough to buy a house?
An Exciting Announcement!
Okay everyone I have a very exciting announcement to share with y’all. Last week my Dad took me to go look at some pre-fab outdoor buildings to see about turning one of them into a tiny home. We looked at quite a few buildings until I saw “the one.” The minute I walked into “the one” I knew that was the one that would be my tiny home!
I hope to go back in May to talk about how many windows I want…

Smoothie Time= Future Projects Talk
While I’m having my yummy lunch of peach mango smoothie, I’ve been thinking about a few future projects I’ll do this year. The number one project I’ll do is the tiny house! It’s going to be a big project for sure and it will have a lot of sewing done for it as well. I love all things shabby chic and lace and want to make some curtains, tablecloths, dish towels, etc. for the house.
I can’t really…

i went to the bank yesterday and set up a secondary share account to start the casa de mayberry fund. it’s got like 38 bucks in it, but it felt nice to take a proactive step towards a goal tbh.
invisalign is next. i’m embarrassed about my tooth gap. a lot of my friends are all, “it’s not that big!” and compared to some people (and even some models i’ve seen, actually?), it might not be, but i feel like they pick the most redneck, hick people to represent my state in the media when it comes to news coverage and i feel like the tooth gap is just feeding into that stereotype that all southerners have bunked-up chompers, y’know? except i as an individual really do kinda have messed up teeth.
