starting to think kinesiology is the way forward.
I’m still very much interested in cosmetology as well as the lab tech program, but kinesiology will get me more in touch with the world of massage—and of course, you know, my fucking mother has to object.
“it’s expensive” well, no shit, it’s expensive. you and I have been through school and have seen what it costs—even though i keep telling her, it’s community college, it’s not nearly as expensive as university, and i’m pretty sure i have some financial aid left over, too.
“how are you going to get there?” (okay, hate to admit this, but I don’t drive, and it’s arguably her fault, too—i’ve asked her almost every year since I was about 18 to take me to the dmv to get my permanent license and she never does. she likes to argue with me about it, too, “yeah, it’s the parents’ fault!” it IS your fucking fault! you’re the one with the keys!) but i’ll take the bus. and until some things happen, i’ll get a bicycle, too. *it apparently doesn’t cost much to get my driver’s license here. still want a bike, though. have a bike as well as being able to drive.
“I hate to put the kibosh on it—“ well, I hate to tell you this, but you are.
i’m not going to sacrifice my future all because you spent your entire adult life sitting at a desk and taking better care of yourself is such a chore.
