i wonder how lucy feels when natsu is being so kind to her future self. does she finally see the depth of his feelings for her, from an external perspective, and realise how much he cares about her?

Has anyone made an angst fic/post about what would have happened if Future Lucy hadn’t been able to block Future Rogue’s shot and Lucy would have actually died? Bc I think there’s a great opportunity there for Natsu to go absolutely feral

I have a question: Do we know how long Future! Lucy was in the past before she died during the X791 arc? AKA the GMG arc? (It's been a while since my last rewatch of that arc. I'm going through the Tower of Heaven arc again rn)

If not, I like to imagine she travelled back in time, during the 7 year time skip so she can visit her father before he died. And because she was older, Jude mistook her for Layla and believed that it was his sign he's moving to the afterlife so he dies in Future! Lucy's arms

And it breaks Future! Lucy's heart but also fills it because she didn't get to see him die when she was younger because she wasn't there. He's gone again, but she was there this time, even if he believed that Future! Lucy was his wife and he died smiling in whom he believed to be Layla's arms, when it was just his daughter from the future's arms

okay so, i just had this thought. everyone talks about natsu’s trauma following future lucy’s death, theres fanfics about it, fanart, canon scenes with natsu being more protective etc etc. but, why does no one talk about how traumatising that must’ve been for lucy? imagine watching yourself take your last few breaths knowing that was your ‘future’ dying before your very eyes. surely that must’ve fucked my girl up even just a little, knowing that technically you’re future has now been cut short but you have no idea by how much. genuinely terrifiying to think about btw

i was rewatching fairy tail and reached this part and cried so here

i wanted to include the fact that she lost her guildmark so here's this sketch. i was gonna add it to the previous drawing but i thought making it separate was better (those are tears on future lucys diary btw)

Future Natsu and Lucy hurt my heart. What do you mean his last act was protecting her and that he was the one to welcome her to the afterlife.
