Just imagining the December when I have a nice, cozy apartment in the city. I combine my modern furniture with classic Christmas decor, and the whole apartment smells like the chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. The lights twinkle on the tree and mantel as snow dances from the sky down onto the city below. I snuggle up on the couch with my cat, relaxing on my night off with take out and a glass of wine, the TV glowing with multiple holiday movies lined up for my viewing pleasure, and a stack of books wait for me on the coffee table to read during my upcoming weekend. I'm warm, cozy, and right where I've always wanted to be. I'm safe. I'm at peace.
