They were the words Jennifer had never expected to hear from him. Not in that tone of voice, not with that look. He was utterly serious. Don’t come back, ever. He didn’t want to see her.
“Marty, I don’t understand.” How could he say that? She knew he had been withdrawn lately, but she didn’t think it had anything to do with their relationship. “Please, let me help you.” It was a desperate plea from a girl who wanted nothing more than to be there for the boy she loved.

Who wakes up first? I feel like they both might have trouble sleeping after everything they’ve been through. Sometimes Marty wakes up first, sometimes Jenn, just depends.
Who is grumpiest in the morning? I can’t really see either being too grumpy? Not unless something is bothering them.
Who cooks breakfast? You mean who cooks the radroach meat or the mole rat meat so it’s not radiated? Marty :| Jenn doesn’t mind cooking with the interesting new plants, but she’ll take a bit to get used to seeing (and cooking) the new beasts they find. Pre-war I feel like either might have cooked breakfast.
Who serves the other breakfast in bed? What bed? lol I feel like this is something Marty would try to do for her though. Pre-war, Jenn would more often do that for him.
Who suggests the skip work and stay home? What work lol Some times they probably just want to stay in Sanctuary though. Pre-war, Marty probably tries to convince her more often than not, and she gives in lol
Who falls asleep on top of the other? Jennifer on top of Marty, pre or post war. Marlene and Junior snuggled near them *sobs*
Who always has to be touching the other? They’ve always both liked to be in contact with each other - his hand on the small of her back, or his arm around her shoulder or waist, her arm around his back - but I feel like it becomes doubly important to both of them when they’re thrown 100 years into the future, and then 200 years. Jenn doesn’t even like having him out of her sight after all of that tbh.
Who stays up until 2 reading? I feel like this is a Jenn thing, pre and post war.
Who kisses their partner while they’re sleeping? They both do
Who is most adventurous? Marty more than Jenn
Who is most protective? Looooord….. both? Both
Who cares too much? Both, though I think maybe Marty is the one that might care too much, but Jenn hardly minds.
Who is most competitive? I’d say Marty, though that definitely toned down a lot after getting over his ‘chicken’ problem. Jenn might be, under the right circumstances.
Who sings in the shower? I could see Marty doing this haha Jenn too
Who is more likely to get naughty in inappropriate places? I… I feel like this could equally be both of them? I’m still working this out with her tbh.

He held up a notebook that had clearly seen better days. Half of what was in it was not it’s original pages, but rather odd pieces of paper stuck in at intervals. It fell open in his hand.
“Trying to decide on a new project... I’ve several in mind, but from experience I know I shouldn’t try to start them all at once...”

“Oh, about half a bottle ago… Maybe I’ve been pouring too generously. And our food hasn’t arrived yet.” Marty concluded, grinning at her laughing. “You are so cute.”
Jennifer returned the bottle to its place and leaned back with a grin. “Are you trying to get me drunk, Mr. McFly?” It was really a testament of their marriage that he could still make her flustered with such a little comment.

Even in the past Jennifer couldn’t catch a break. Mrs. McFly hadn’t been very approving of her in 1985 and it didn’t seem any different here in 1955, but she couldn’t pinpoint why exactly.
