me and futuredeadbody were discussing a very nice au which involved cosette being in a polyamorous relationship with marius and eponine and then, in her words, 

"omg what if at their wedding marius and cosette are standing at the alter and cosette just goes “oh crap we’re missing something aren’t we” and Marius is like “oh man you’re right” and eponine crashes through the church door like “SHIT BABES sorry im late” and she runs up to the alter still trying to put her shoes on"

ok wow that really sucks i am so sorry. schools don’t care at all about the arts and its terrible.

it's awful. it shows in the disrespect given to the band as well. we are almost never recognized for our feats. the only time I remember us being recognized was when they acknowledged Honors Band in an assembly. what about the rest, the school's actual BAND? what about this year, our 2nd place in our first competition? the trophies lining the walls of the band room? have they ever been truly acknowledged over speaker like everything else? I don't know. I haven't been here long enough. maybe it happens but only if we get first place. I wouldn't be surprised if that's not true though, and I don't expect it to be.

at our last game, an away game, their football team literally ran out onto the field, while the marching band was performing, and into the middle of their own marching band's show and disrupted it. supporters of their football team cheered. our band was pissed.

and why would they give us all these amazing options and then take away half the opportunities with required electives that take up our credit limit for that year? why are there required electives? why must I take strength training or aerobics along with normal P.E. for a year to pass?

this is the suggested route for us to take. where are the spaces for all these amazing classes that are in our program? they're not there.

thankfully I can test out of some required electives because I'm in gifted. but this is ridiculous.
