I just opened a fat box of Immortal #WonderWoman comics and screamed. NUBIA!!! My name is on a @DCComics cover… Jesus. My grandmother, rest her soul, gave me my first comic and is the reason I fell in love with the medium. I’m just… WE DID IT GRANNY!!! 😭😭😭😭 She was a Black woman who read and loved comics since the golden age and she passed that on. Black women have been fans from the beginning. Whew. I’m emotional holding this book in my hand… Granny is as much a reason we got Nubia coming back as anything. I wouldn’t be here without her. Someone needs to stop cutting onions… Thank you, fellow fans. Because I’m a fan first. Y’all pushing and demanding Nubia’s return with me all these years made this possible.
