Such eagerness. Aries smiled softly and remanence how that seemed in line with his character from back when the Spirits hosted a welcome back party for Lucy and her guildmates. He was so happy about the food of the spirit world... Until she and Cancer had told him that he had been eating lamb and crab, causing Natsu to loose his appetite.

“Yes, Mr. Natsu, th-there will be cake.” Aries smiled, but went in to reassure, “It won’t be much different than one you’re used to, other than th-the ingredients are from the spirit world rather than the human world.”

A cheeky smile replaced her soft one. “It’s a rather good cake, even if I say so myself as I’m the one that baked it.” A simple vanilla sponge cake, with strawberries, and whipped cream icing. Simple, but a classic.

Natsu loved food to a fault, that someone could easily bribe him with it, especially if it was smoked. However that usually lead him to be insensitive at times, since he rarely asked what he was eating before chowing down on it too. Back at that Celestial Spirit party he was technically eating Cancer and Aries family members or something, he felt horrible!

“Really? That’s awesome, I can’t wait to taste it!” Even with Aries stating it wouldn’t be much different, it was still a new delicacy to try for Natsu in his eyes. 

“What? You baked it yourself? Then of course it must be good!” he added with a grin, though Natsu did find it weird Aries had to bake her own birthday cake, but he knew better than to state that, or say that he could have helped her bake it, his judging expression on the other hand...

Oh, oh wow. Bowen was surprised that Aries actually got him a gift for his birthday. It was a cupcake, cookies and cream too! "W..wow..." He spoke, blushing a bit. "D..did you make this yourself?" Even if she didn't, the thought still meant so much to him. "T...thank you so much! W...will you be sticking around? I'd love to spend the day with you if.. you're free!"

A small chime came from Aries’ key followed, “I’m afraid to say that I’m not really looking for a relationship right now,” said Aries’ disembodied voice responding to the mysterious person's request.

There was a brief pause before the spirit quickly added, “I’m sorry, I-I didn’t mean to sound like I was eavesdropping on your conversation, Miss Lucy. I just overheard my name and th-thought you were getting to call me.”

Jumping for a moment as she heard the chime but she then leaned down to lift the key up as the voice came through. She gave a nod and a smirk as she looked at the grey face. She was protective over her spirits; especially Aries though she would never admit it. A chuckle escaped her at the pause and defensiveness.

"It's fine Aries! I'll have to call you out for a girls day at one point! Thank you for clarifying!" she responded. Calling your spirits out for a girls day was definitely something a full blown celestial mage was. Regardless of what some people thought of her, she wouldn't change herself. She could be powerful and caring.

Sweet, punny, but also quite genuine. The meaning behind it was very much true. She really did brighten his day, she always did, that's why he always kept coming back to see her. The challenge was also about pick up lines so, he wanted to do it in a way that was kind of like himself. To pick the stars, the galaxy, that was very much like him.

If one was to think about it, how long he knew her, how many times he had visited her, yes, she had quite an impact on him. She made him happy.. and he wanted to make her just as happy as him.

"T..thank you, Aries." He would answer back, now a blush appearing on his own face. "You're a very, very kind person too.. I really like that about you."

She was asleep, well, he gathered that. He knew the importance of a long rest so let her be. Though he did note the duration of time.. and it was something he did hope to check up on, to make sure she was okay.

Now, Magic Deficiency Disease was something he knew absolutely nothing about. He didn't know how it could effect those who wielded magic, though in some ways, was a similarity to how he coped with Energy Deficiency, particularly after using so much of it, likely in a fight more so. He wouldn't need to sleep for days, probably one or two at most. He just had to make sure she was sleeping peacefully and safely, not out in the open. If he could do anything to ensure a pleasant rest, he would do it.

It was probably best he didn't know the need for her resting, not because he couldn't be trusted, though passing ears was something even he worried about sometimes, but in that, he would have very much been worried if he knew she was in a battle that required the use of a lot of magic. It was something he would do, in the same situation, if he had to manipulate energy to a severe level that he was beyond exhausted, he would try to hide the truth, just so that she wouldn't be concerned.

Not that he wasn't concerned, that was still there now, knowing that she needed a good long rest. Was she sick? Could her kind even get sick? In the end, a bit of a sigh, a smile on his features. Really he cared so much for her, how that had grown over quite some time. "As long as you are okay, Aries, that's the main thing." He answered. "Hopefully that sleep helped."

"Leo, you're a man." Aries frowned slightly and looked at him with big eyes, "Please, don't s-say bad things about yourself. Even if it's not direct." Yes, she understood what he meant, but that didn't mean her point still stands. // fuwafuwaramu she just cares about her friends so much X')

A chuckle slipped between his lips as he smiled at her apparent concern.

"True enough, I suppose.” 

He had half a mind to remind her not to let any fondness she had for him blind her to facets of his true nature or that of others. Instead, he dipped his head towards her in a slight bow and gave a grin. “Thank you, dear Aries, from this moment forth, I’ll only talk about how amazing I am. How does that sound?”

It was perfect. It would have been hard for him if she wasn't able to make it to the human world, but he absolutely had to see her on this day, her special day. It didn't matter to him how old she was, how many centuries it may have been, it didn't matter, it was still a day that only came through once a year.. and he wanted to make the occasion, celebrate it, with her.

Maybe he did make the connection for the first day for those born under Aries, that such may just be her birthday after all, though that in itself was taking a punt. What if he got it wrong, what if it wasn't her birthday? How awkward would that be? A cake and flowers for a day they didn't get to yet.. or missed. It was no surprise he was left with a bit of nerves as a result.

But... it seemed he wasn't wrong. This might just be her birthday after all. Eyes lit up when she spoke, his smile widening. "Y..yeah! These are both for you! All for you!" He remarked, still with his flustered expression. "I did actually. It's... something different, I've never made a pink cake before. I... didn't know what kind you liked so I made a basic vanilla cake, but I worked real hard on decorating it for you!"

Indeed, what made him pick out that colour of roses? "I.. didn't actually.. pick it with a specific meaning in mind. I'm sure it means many things in many places but... I got it because this colour pink. It... reminded me of you. Whenever I see the colour pink I'm reminded of you... and whenever I think of you, I always smile. Plus... I wanted them to accompany the cake." He was starting to feel the butterflies again, but that was the honest truth.
