He had finished locking up his shop early with a goal in mind of collecting some new materials and other supplies for his next line of work. A weaponsmith’s craft was never truly completed, but he also had some ideas in mind to make some new puppets in his spare time. A couple of ideas that loomed, he thought it amusing to toy with a puppet set that could rival the original master, himself. Not to mention he needed a decent set in case the worst was to come. He was nearly powerless if not for an wicked set of weapons by his making. Surely, he wouldn’t have much to fear.
He thought so until someone caught his eye.
The puppet master living under a lie would see someone he could had sworn was from his past. He couldn’t recall too much, but he knew enough that he was staring at someone that may as well recognize him if they were to gaze long enough. His only saving grace was that his hair was hidden away by a bandanna he wore mainly to keep his hair from his eyes and the sweat from his brow. Sure, he had that much going for him but that may not mean much if he recalled stories from his grandmother.
“... Perhaps she is the reason why the village has been rather lively. Talk of a live performance..” he muttered as he tried to remember a combination of past and present. It wasn’t good at all to be seeing someone that could be rooted in his history, especially if she knew his true name. What he wouldn’t know would be how much she cared. Either way, he may need to play some part. He had his role as Komushi to fulfill. The damn brat would want to introduce and help if she needed it.
Plus, he’d find out more about his worries and her purpose. It must just be a show... right?
“Oiy... I don’t recall ever seeing you around here,” he would speak as he approached the other with a hand in pocket. “Need something?”
