Got one yet? Why you waiting!?!? ………….Posted @withregram • @morelandmagnetics… . . . The 202 is my rendition of the oft-fabled Interfax Harmonic Percolator as used by Steve Albini in Shellac, Andy Cohen from Silkworm, etc and so on. I’ve had a chance to study several extant circuits and find out what works for me and what doesn’t, going to lengths to find the correct diodes for the proper octave effect, and I’ve landed on this. Per my Modus Operandi, no extravagant frills, optional clipping toggle switches, trim pots, extra knobs, proprietary mechanisms, or blinding blue LED’s are involved. Not because I don’t like any of that stuff, but because as a guitarist I have a fleeting attention span and if I have extra knobs I’m going to mess with them instead of turning the pedal on and playing the guitar 😂. Since nailing down the circuit I’ve started using this in my own band along with my 404 fuzz and an EP-3 echoplex as my only effects. Even order harmonics are emphasized, and there’s a strong low-octave halo around halfway up the fretboard in a vocal range that reminds me of a reverse-octavia. Clean up with your guitar’s volume gets a perfect “tubey” overdrive that sticks to your fingers. A flick of the wrist and max volume gives a wild thick fuzz with lots of depth and harmonic complexity. Check out Silkworm’s “Slow Hands” guitar solo by Andy Cohen for an example. . . . . #harmonicpercolator #fuzz #fuzzoftheday #fuzzpedal #fuzzpedals #madeinatlanta (at Axe and You Shall Receive Inc.) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cah1G4_OJcu/?utm_medium=tumblr
