Duppy Echoes: Great music journalism
For todays piece of great music journalism, I am looking at an article from back in the day from the now defunct Red Bull Music Academy. In the article writer Jesse Serwer dated 2018. The article covers the work of dub and dancehall intro vocalist Fuzzy Jones, whose work shaped intros to some of the most punishing brutal dub joints in history.
The unsung hero’s dubplate diatribes could kill any soundsystem.
A good read back in 2018, and an even better read in 2023. RIP Red Bull Music Academy.
