i just realised i never properly addressed this outside of my rules page (where it appears as a vague content warning) but the way bennett’s Pyro healing is alluded to in-game from his character stories seems to pitch it as being mostly just... exactly what you’d expect fire to do to an open wound, plus some magical healing, plus maybe some extra motivation/energy boost kind of thing going on. that’s what i interpreted from it anyway, and it’s what i go for when i play it out here - which i know is a bit unorthodox since most people tend to write healing as just being like a purely magical poof-and-the-injury-is-gone thing.

for the moment i’ve settled on cw: injury and cw: burns to mark any post with bennett’s healing in it, but i WILL NOT be going into gross detail, or even very much detail at all. just figured i should address it here

bonus disclaimer: Do Not Try This At Home, obviously, bennett is a trained professional reckless adventurer making do, by which i mean his emergency heals suck so bad conceptually, oh man

just in case anyone is as anxious as i used to be, here’s some stuff i feel like my partners/potentials should know

of course not everyone feels this way, but these are my feelings, personally

i don’t expect anyone to respond right away, or even that day, or anything. just come back at me when you’re comfortable

same vein but i won’t be mad at dropped threads either. if you pick a thread up “later”, whether it’s a few days or a week or a month or a year, i’ll probably be like “oh cool!” and rejoin if i’m still feeling it. literally no pressure

i’ll happily slide with gender&romantic headcanons! me too my good fellows, happy pride month, i’ll be using whatever pronouns you present me with

as long as i can understand your post and have something to write back to, i don’t mind too much how you write/arrange it. just don’t leave me behind in the dust of purple prose and we’re good!
