Fobwatched Headcanon #1: TARDIS

The Captain has been a ‘human’ for several thousand years. His TARDIS was parked on Earth the entire time that he was Fobwatched. When he gains his TARDIS back, it’s been trashed and though there is still a life pulse, there is no consciousness for The Captain to communicate with. Even after he manages to fix it there is no consciousness to speak of. He manages to pilot the TARDIS, but with much effort. Without it’s own thoughts the TARDIS relies entirely on The Captain to move it. 

Assuming he will have to live with it for the rest of his life the Time Lord begins moving through Time and Space. HE decides one of his first orders of business is to keep Jack’s brother Grey from dying. Showing up just an hour before Torchwood Three is supposed to explode he  extracts the drawer that Grey was held in and moves him to the TARDIS. Because Grey was unstable to begin with and the freezing process hasn’t been perfected Grey dies when The Captain tries to allow the chamber to feed off of his TARDIS. Retaining all of Jack’s memories he is understandably hurt and angry with himself. 

Shortly after he realizes his TARDIS once again has a consciousness and after a short time he realizes it is indeed Grey. He’s reverted to his very childlike state, but it is defiantly Grey. He begins his new life as The Captains TARDIS.
