As Elena walked through the clinic to lock up she still had some doubts in her mind. Truth be told she had taken a little longer than she had to in closing up. Cleaning the exam rooms a little more throughly, triple checking the medicine count, etc. Buying herself a little bit more time to think this over. She wasn’t entirely sure this was the smartest idea that she’d had. It was just drinks though she hadn’t agreed to a full on date with this guy, so maybe it would be good.

In an ideal world she’d be really happy right now and waiting for a different supe to come get her. One with fiery red hair and who gave the best hugs Elena had ever experienced. Someone that Elena had always felt safe with in a way that she didn’t with anyone else. However this wasn’t an ideal world and the person she was expecting tonight was The Seven’s aquatic charmer The Deep.

The reason she’d agreed earlier because she’d seen how he was around Adam. He’d been so kind and made that kid’s day. Giving Elena hope he really was the good guy that he seemed to be. Coming to a stop in front of the door she took off her lab coat and hung it on the rack by the door. Then she walked outside closing the door behind her and locking it. Now all that was left to do was wait for him to come. She’d finished up 10 minutes sooner than she’d expected to and was early.

Annie sat in the main hall of Vought, in her seat. Despite the way her introduction to The Seven had gone (as well as nearly every moment after that) it still gave her a little thrill to sit in the seat along with the heroes that she had admired growing up. Of course Homelander was probably insane, A-Train was in the hospital, Translucent was dead and The Deep had made her do unspeakable things for that seat. But she was here and that was the end of it. Gently she drummed her nails on the polished table, listening to the "tink tink tink tink" sounds.

The doors swished open and Annie inadventently stiffened as The Deep walked into the room. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Annie wasn't sure where she'd heard that phrase, maybe it was from the Bible? but it was accrate. She resisted the urge to cross her legs. Better not give him any leverage. She had earned her place here and she wasn't going to let him even think about taking it away from her.

“Is there a meeting?” She asked for lack of anything else to say.

Laura had lured the mutant hunters to the pier, she made some damage and then ran away when they asked for reinforcements, they had the numbers so she had to play it small, still, they were hot on her tail and she had to take some evasive actions that let her to her having to jump into the water.

The scrapes and wounds that hadn’t healed quite yet burned but she swam, the adamantium in her body making it easier for her to swim underwater and her healing ability making sure there was oxygen in her arteries being distributed to her organs even if her lungs burned with the need to breathe but she knew that her healing ability would keep her from drowning as long as she didn’t cave cause then her lungs would be filling with water.

She felt that she was far enough and came out for air.

Elena had just been finishing up with one of her regular patients, a 9 year old girl named Emma, when one of the nurses had come in and pulled her out to the side in the hall. She’d initially been annoyed at being interrupted during a patient visit, but when the nurse explained why it all made sense. According to the nurse they had visitors. Not just normal new patient visitors, but a camera crew and one of The Seven had showed up.

A few more words exchanged sent the nurse back in to finish up the last of the paperwork with the patient. That much the nurse could handle, but the situation in the waiting room was one that needed Elena’s attention. So she handed off the chart to the nurse and then headed back through the hallways. Wondering as she walked why a member of The Seven and a camera crew would come here. She didn’t remember scheduling anything or seeing anything in the news.

The confusion disappeared the moment she walked into the waiting room. A warm and friendly expression slipping into place as she looked around. She spotted the camera crew first though she couldn’t tell if they were rollling yet or not. Next her eyes fell upon the supe that was standing tall and proud in her waiting room. Somehow the supe social media star The Deep was here. Why would The Deep come to this clinic?

Walking up to The Deep Elena said, “Hello. Is there something me or my staff can help you with?”

Now that the Church of the Collective had been openly recruiting supers, Thomas was able to convince his boss and sister in law that it was worth a visit from the CIA now that they had a division set up specifically for the supes. He had wanted to visit the place for so long that he was taking in every little detail, enamoured with the place. Then, he saw the Deep. One of Seven and he was in awe. For a long while he just stared at the Deep, watching with curiosity to see what one of the Seven would do.
