FYWO headcanons: Fox && Nicodemus && Justin 

Fox has two rats, Nicodemus and Justin, that she adopted from the shelter where she volunteers. The shelter doesn’t take small pets as a general rule, though they have been known to take rabbits and ferrets. But one day, two rats were dropped off, along with their two story enclosure, as an owner surrender. 

Rather than see the rats shuffled off to some small animal shelter to live out their lives in a shelter (or worse, be adopted and used as some snake’s lunch), Fox took them. They came with a home already, after all, taking the majority of the cost off Fox. 

Two months later, she has two very smart rats that know sit, stay, and come at the call of their names. Both named for rats from The Secret of Nimh, the dark one is Nicodemus, he’s the older and lazier of the two, who can usually be found in his hammock or lounging on Fox’s couch (preferably on his pillow, which he knocks over to lay on if it’s propped against the couch). Justin is the more active of the two, and the one more attached to Fox. He’s usually found running a maze Fox made him with a set of children’s blocks she got for $4 at a flea market, or hanging out in the hood of Fox’s hoodie, hidden under her hair and watching the world from her shoulder. While Nico sleeps the day away, Justin often accompanies Fox to the shelter and to run errands, and while they do have a cage, they’re more like cats, only locked in their cage during the night, and free to roam the little one-bedroom apartment during the day.

Being part of the Woods family, his destiny was written before he took his first breath. His Uncle was the former President of the Grounders MC. Lincoln was brought into the MC’s way of life early, still in his teens when he got involved with the drugs some of the other chapters ran. Drug selling soon turned into use, and before his young body knew what was going on, he was hooked. His cousin, Lexa, spent years trying to force him to get clean, but it wasn’t until Lexa took over the MC after her father’s death that Lincoln had a legitimate reason to. She’d come to him, requesting his service as her sergeant-at-arms that opened Lincoln’s eyes. He’d been around the different areas where the Grounders operated, knew members in each territory. It made sense that he be a face of recognition for their chapter. But, if he was going to protect Lexa, he had to have his head on straight. It took longer than his ego would like to admit, too many nights spent curled up in one of his family’s bathrooms, but he managed to kick the habit for good. Lincoln stood by Lexa as she tried to bring the Sky Gods into their MC and he has been there to fend off her attackers, showing exactly why she had chosen him for his new position.                 WITNESS TESTIMONY: known to be proficient in hand-to-hand and weapon combat, including marksmanship with multiple guns, having been trained from a young age by family members. though a man of few words, he is defined as intelligent and insightful, witnesses saying that he seems to take in everything around him as soon as he enters a room, like a detective.

[ Possible Connections ]

Raven Reyes - Funky rattling during a trip to Sky Gods territory had him bristling that his bike had been tampered with. Assurances that Reyes was the best mechanic around, in Virginia or Maryland had him seeking the woman out. Now, anything he can’t tinker with himself has him making the trip to Raven’s garage, refusing to let anyone else service his Harley. The two even seem to be friendly. Though Lincoln would swear he just talks to pass the time. 

Octavia Blake - The younger woman had waltzed into the tattoo shop, ending up in his chair when the others had expected butterflies as her pick. Something about “shit rolling uphill” they had said. But, money was money, he had the time, and she was easy enough on the eyes. Intrigued by the Atlas-esque tattoo, and recognizing the Blake name, he’d invited her back for subsequent work.

Caed Byrone - On trips where he accompanied Lexa to Canada, Lincoln had the opportunity to stop by the bar, be treated by the staff there. Though he was never one to take on certain...amenities...he was a fan of throwing back some drinks and getting to know the members of their club. Of a similar age and demeanor, he and Caed seem to get along. He’s more than happy to have the guy in his chair at Second Dawn when Caed makes the trip to DC.

Finley Hamilton - Another met while accompanying Lexa, Having grown up around strong women all his life and being taught to respect them, he rather likes their trips to Alabama. There’s a comfort there, though he’s still cautious. He knows Finley’s smart, has done his homework on her background, even if she is capable of stealth. Still, as cautious as he is, he can’t help but have a curious respect for the older woman and how she teaches those around her.
