(via F Y X O on Instagram: “Love this bike. So ridiculously impractical, I scored it from Ben Randall at a swap meet as a heavily rusted frame and fork. It hung on my wall for years before I met @gonzlab. He said he'd always wanted a funny bike and I offloaded the frame to him and didn't think much more of it. Months went by and it was primed and painted in the original lab. Before you could get @velocityusa Deep V's in anything other than silver he colour coded the rims and pursuit bars to the frame. Brand new Dura Ace pista ensemble, Hoshi bladed spokes and a @columbus_official Pinocchio stem completed the build. Gonz rode it down the street and back. A total of 666 metres and then sold it on eBay. It was a real eye opener seeing someone taking something headed for scrap and giving it this level of enthusiasm and detail. I'd be lying if I said Gonz wasn't a massive inspiration when it came to bike builds. This was pre-fixed gear apocalypse back when anyone riding a track bike in Melburn knew each other - by their bike. Hard to believe. #fixiefamous #baaw #fixie #sttb”)
