That is the BIGGEST fucking smile I have ever seen on Owen and absolutely I am going to keep an eye out for the like in the future. There is absolutely some triad shit going on here, even if I don't think he and Fox are actually romantic. He's certainly not threatened by her presence. He really did like the guy Xanatos became when trying to protect her. I'm sure it didn't help that he got a bit sweaty and disheveled in his stress =P XD Ahahaha

I think narratively, the smile on Owen is just to end on a particularly happy note that we can't exactly get from Xanatos as he's trying to play things off cool, but I AM just going to read tf into it!! Hahaha Amazing.

Papa Xanatos looks a tad bit surprised, but not enough for some revelation of the sender of that envelope after the earlier comment about finding out who sent it to him. He had, in a general sense, figured out what Xanatos was up to and what had happened. He's not surprised generally, but the specifics might be a bit. Especially because if he had waved the Illuminati thing to the side earlier, he can't now. He knows they delivered, and that the relationship built to get that pin had to have come afterward, not from this adventure.

Also can I just say they all look quite lovely in their outfits? It's such a relief to see Fox in something that looks good XDXD

So again, I think the easy reading here, and not implausibly the one meant to come across, is some sort of jealousy on Fox's part. A sort of 'get away from my man' sentiment. But we just saw that Fox is viewing Elisa as herself. As her human self. So she is launching herself at that version of herself. One that is not what she is right now. As if she would destroy that weak appearing, potentially love-addled version of herself that attaches herself to a man's side. And I LOVE that, that she would, in this moment, destroy that version of herself. Oh how one loves internal conflicts. Because I don't think she doesn't want this thing she said yes to, the life she has been living and enjoying. It's just that it looks so much different than I think her younger, much more feral self saw for herself. It can be hard to let go the sentiments and dreams of our younger selves, even when we have or are outgrowing them or they actively conflict because you hold contrary desires. Good stuff!

And of course, we slow mo for Goliath to come in and do the save. He can protect Elisa after all. At least this time. Yay XD

Lest anyone think Fox can't fight in her bridal... gown... XD I guess the outfit is because she knew she was getting into a fight right away haha. Still, I don't forgive her XD

You know, I don't know if I can honestly say why we have Fox see herself in Elisa. Is it just 'woman beside Xanatos' thing? Hm, okay, I might have talked myself into that immediately. Lol. It always seemed that her targeting of Elisa in these shots and what's to come was supposed to be some sort of jealousy thing. How dare there be another woman kind of thing. But Fox is seeing HERSELF when she sees Elisa beside Xanatos, and it is NOT because they look alike. Elisa's hair isn't actually flowing, she doesn't have light eyes like Fox nor red hair or even light skin.

Which to people who are me is so fun, because I feel like it's suggestive of Fox having second thoughts about tying herself to Xanatos that might turn her into 'the woman beside the billionaire.' That just like before she left home and her rich family, she won't be seen as her own, fiercely independent woman, but as an accessory to her father husband. Which that sort of reading, again to people who are me, makes Fox soo much more interesting than just 'jealous.' I think Fox is far more likely to be the type who would be like, 'I don't care if you have affairs, but if you make me look like a fool, it's over. Do it in secret.' She certainly doesn't care about the Xanatos/Owen stuff going on =P=P

And of course this all is particularly relevant because she's particularly under the powers of her most secret desires for herself, which is feral and hungry and wild. Far from the tame mistress demurely beside her husband.

We're closing out the episode, so we don't have time understandably for a whole debrief here, but damn does it look like he's going to try and play this off as something that didn't really happen to her, which would be WILD. I don't think that's actually how it's meant to be read nor do I think that's how Fox comes to understand what happened moving forward, but it has some interesting implications on how things Could Have Gone if we want to think worse of Xanatos even than I think he's meant to come across lol
