Death your wife is leaving the garden world
What?!
He runs to find @ask-the-being-of-life.
The house that stood before them was simple and modern. Yet he felt magics covering the building, if he squints, he could past that magic. It's an illusion spell, with many many many layers upon it. A colonial cottage, a 15th century castle, a lakehouse. It's impossible to know the architecture of the home at this point, that irritates Jegudiel a bit.
He shakes his head, why is he thinking about architecture? He's free. He's away from that terrible place. He feels as if the sun couldn't shine brighter than it does on him now.
He laughs, turing his body over into circles, to look around at the trees and grass. Then he turns to Death, and unknowingly happily flaps his arms and hands a bit, "I-I'm free! I knew ain't shoulda doubted!"

(I am so sorry for not getting to this earlier bahshdhdhf. In return, a fun flashback to the Dark Ages! :D)
Prompt 81: “Why am I not surprised?”
___
The streets were disgusting.
Granted, since becoming a demon, cleanliness was not Beelzebubs priority. In fact, quite the opposite in a lot of cases- being in hell for months on end did not do wonders for ones complexion. They hid their boils and burns a lot of the time- and now, they definitely kept them away. The people around them had more than enough pustules for all of Hell. Corpses lay in the streets, dead not discernible from the living, and the air reeked of sickness. Another city lost to the Black Plague.
They stepped over bodies, ignoring the way some twitched under their feet- not dead yet, but soon, no doubt. They needed to move on, to get out of this suffocating place and away from the horror they had helped caused, even unintentionally. And maybe they would have been able to do that, until they spotted a man leaned up against the wall, red haired and slivers of odd colored amber eyes showing through the black boils all over his face.
It stopped them dead in their tracks, because for one horrific moment, they were 100% convinced that it was Raph. Not that that was possible- demons didn’t catch the plague, and even if they did, Raph would surely have come back to Hell for that, right?- but for a terrifying second they could have sworn that the beleaguered body was their former best friend. Before their brain could catch up with the rest of them, they were already at the mans side, looking him over. When the realization hit that this was not, in fact, Raph, they sighed in relief but still couldn’t bring themselves to move away yet. The man was nearly dead, his breathing was shallow and faint. Something akin to pity stirred in their chest and they reached out, pressing a hand to his shoulder. The aura of sickness around the man began to lessen.
“Thats the fifth one you’ve healed today.” Beelzebub whirled around to see a cloaked figure in a Plague Doctors mask staring at them. The mask was removed, and they couldn’t help but shudder when they looked Death himself in the eye.
“Not healing them completely.” They argues weakly. They had started out doing that. Lucifer wasn’t exactly pleased when he found out- so, as usual, their defiance went underground.
“Enough to save him from my grasp.” Death murmured. His cloak wavered around him. He grew stronger every day, his influence overwhelming. “The Lord of Hell on Earth, healing humans as they please. Why am I not surprised?”
Beelzebub glared at the figure. “I’m sure I’m only sparing them temporarily. There will be worse fates for them later.”
“All sparing is temporary, my dear Ba’alzebub. You’re merely delaying the inevitable.”
“It’s Beelzebub.”
“Ah. Of course.” Death nodded a little, eyes far away, as if seeing a million versions of this conversation a million different times. “I suppose you are being rather devious, hm? Interfering in my work. I’ll let you get back to your dastardly deeds. But I’d try to keep the Dark Lord... well, in the dark. Wouldn’t want to chat with me again so soon, right?”
Beelzebub shuddered and nodded. The man behind them opened his eyes slightly, groaning in pain. They silently willed him to just be quiet. No need to garner attention from Death.
Death put on his mask again, and with a deep bow and a swirl of his cloak, disappeared.
The feeling of sickness clouding their skin didn’t leave them for hours.

Well go on death! She's waiting for you!
Death walks through the front door. War looks up at him.
“Hey, dad.”
“Hello, dearest. Where are your siblings?”
“Famine and Polly are in their rooms. Moms... in the kitchen I think?” She shrugs.

Momma Life receives several plants from Pollution, a bunch of repaired figurines that War had previously smashed from War, and a crafted dress from Famine.
Death walks up to her, his hands behind his back. He smiles mischievously at her. “Merry Christmas, love...”
