Don't worry, Mark's got an emotional story coming up after his jerklike showing here! And the TK thing is almost the way it was introduced in the comics (although slightly fudged here): Roscoe left a recording for the other Rogues after his death and just drops the "BTW I got telekinesis shortly before I died and didn't tell anyone, bye" revelation like it's no big deal 😂 And the guys don't even seem fazed. I love those comics so much.

Oop we have a Gwyn song. Kind of a wistful, half-hopeful ‘I Want’ vibe at first but then it dives into the Pain Zone of Doubt and Despair. “the sky’s gonna break” can be a callback to Dea’s comment about “a glorious storm”. “Be careful making wishes” ties back in a looser sense to Ursus saying that hoping against hope is dangerous. the last line could relate to both how desperation for the truth drowns out everything else, and the literal physical pain Gwyn experiences. Probably leads in to a whole number all about the actual pain and the internal conflict.

-> not really, but it was never meant to get this long. like i thought it was gonna be 4k AT MOST.

13: what music did you listen to, if any, to get into the mood of writing this story? or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?

-> so,, i can only write Good Shit when i’m listening to doja/rico/megan/kali etc. i had captain hook by megan thee stallion on REPEAT while writing this fic but i do NOT suggest it. listen to something soft that gets steadily more intense. perhaps sorry by nothing but thieves. or waterfalls coming out your mouth by glass animals. eleanor by flipturn. 505 by arctic monkeys. something that elicits a specific emotion.

At heart, Len's a very sad man who's had a lot of loss.  He just doesn't show it very well, and that's clearly deliberate on his part.

That is a real concern, isn't it?  I'm sure that's why he drinks even though he's had really negative experiences with alcohol, and we know he's cultivated his 'cold' persona to deal with all his emotional pain.  But it really isn't healthy for him, even if it technically keeps him going.

We can hope!  I think Mick might, because he's a more thoughtful and empathetic person, but the others can be a bit lacking in that field.  That's probably how Len ended up in this position in the first place, and if it weren't for him I doubt the Rogues would be the family they are. [I'm talking about modern pre-Flashpoint continuity here, which is when this fic is set.  Things are different in current continuity, and they were different in the Bronze/Silver Ages too.]

Haha, thank you :D  All the Rogues have been sketchy or filthy at varying times in their lives, but Digger's one of those you can reply on to be a disaster.  Mark should have made sure he was busy off-site during the visit!
