Logitech G910 Orion Spark, worthy of the mighty G710?

To be honest, I did have second thoughts standing in line with the huge keyboard box. I mean, I already have a G710+. But, to be honest I think it was worth it, more about that later. I took the keyboard out of the stunning box, chose the pre-installed wrist-rest from the two (they’re pretty similar, and I would have appreciated a more static one for typing but I guess I need to suck it up). I plugged the keyboard in and updated the software. Off I was.

I began testing in Metal Gear Solid 5, where the keyboard performed very well. The keys are extremely responsive, and hardly need to be pressed to actuate. This made the experience very responsive. However, I noticed that sometimes the shift-key would stick, and this caused Snake to continuously run. I turned off sticky keys, thinking it was the problem, however, they were not even on. I then noticed it had something to do with the Press-to-change-the-colour setting. As soon as I turned it off, everything was fine. What a shame.

Anyway, my second test was a competitive test, something this keyboard was made for. I played TF2 and CSGO, and the experience was pretty good. Having used Cherry MX Brown’s before it was kind of refreshing not hearing that load clicker clicker noise all the time. But the keyboard was super responsive through it all, and my fingers didn’t get caught on the high ledges of the keys.

Something I initially thought would be a problem, the keycaps, which are super angular and oddly shaped, turned out not to be that bad, and I actually think they’re not that bad. Overall, I really like the keyboard, until using it I had no idea how much Cherry MXs pissed me off and how unresponsive they were. By the way, the keyboard is also awesome for typing. Fun fact.

Hmm...found 2 good deals near me, G710 for $65 or Black Widow Ultimate for $70

The Razer board is like 5 minutes closer but the Logitech one is $5 less.

The Logitech board is still in-box and the Razer one has been used for a few weeks.

The Logitech board has Browns and the Razer has Greens.

Anyone have any thoughts on either?
