"I FOUND THE KEY"

Originally from Mexico City Iskar was drawn to art by classic illustration, vintage comics, and modern pop art. After studying graphic design Iskar spent three years in London before moving back to Mexico and founding Artwall Deco, creating murals for businesses and institutions, and increasingly finding opportunities to take his art on the road. Now bouncing between Mexico and Los Angeles, @GabbaGallery says Iskar has dabbled more and more with street art—which has "transformed into a fluent language for the artist"—and he continues to look for ways to unite the gallery and street art worlds. Three weeks after painting a heart protected by a nest for his "Sanctuary" gallery show earlier this year, Iskar returned to the alley just across Beverly Blvd from Gabba Gallery and painted the neighboring work "I Found the Key." @1skr/

Originally from Orange County, Mike Duncan, aka TEWSR [Truth Exists Within Self Realization], discovered the creative outlet of graffiti in the early '90s. Always looking to learn, TEWSR's work encompasses everything from sculpture to graphic design and painting that pushes the boundaries of graffiti and illustration. Since the beginning of the street art movement in Brazil in the early '80s, Fabio Luiz Santos Ribeiro, aka Binho has become one of the nation's most recognized graffiti artists, equally recognized now for his fine art work and curation of large-scale projects such as the São Paulo Open Museum of Urban Art. In early 2019 TEWSR and Binho joined forces and created this fun alley wall just off of Council St in Los Angeles for the Jason Ostro curated @GabbaGallery Alley Project. @tewsr/ @binho3m/
