for canon fixations: quantum mechanics and space. but mostly quantum mechanics. hell in my memories i'd literally just sit in the grove staring at the quantum shard, and every time i blinked, i'd immediately track it down. i spend hours playing with how cameras stopped quantum objects from moving and testing out quantum entanglement. i even broke off a piece of the grove shard and made it into a necklace for myself so i could literally become quantum. ofc quantum mechanics don't work like that here—what i was playing with was on a macro scale, whereas it's micro here. but i still adore the fact that it exists! like hey, the shit that makes up existence doesn't exist (where you think it is) if it's not perceived. isn't that so neat - gabbro (outer wilds, fictive)
