(could you tag it as Gabi2 please?) Hey. Soo, i know self diagnosing is not the best idea, but lately i've noticed that i have a lot of symptoms of bpd. i was also reading about sensory overload and i felt like i experience that too? but that just feels unreal. i feel like shit honestly. i feel like i'm making this up in my head, that i'm completely fine and that i'm just looking for more disorders on my list to have an 'excuse' for feeling bad.. i just don't know what to think about it all..
Hi Gabi2,
I’m really sorry you’re feeling bad, dealing with any mentalillness can make you feel like you’re making it up or just trying to find newthings wrong with us, but we’re not. No one would want to be suffering if wehad the choice so please don’t think that.
Self-diagnosing is something we don’t recommend as it canput many thoughts into our heads and stress us out even more, we could think wehave one thing and then suddenly we have 10 other things. That’s why we always suggestgoing to see a professional, they can either confirm what you thought and giveyou the help and tips you need or they’ll deny it and calm you down.
I think seeing a doctor of professional would be really goodfor you, you’d be able to express how you feel and how you think you’reexperiencing BPD and Sensory Overload. They’d be able to talk to you abouteverything that comes with those illnesses and help you get the help you mayneed. Going to see a doctor can be terrifying but it’ll be worth it once youget help. If you feel like you’re not ready or you’re too scared that’salright. You can give these Helplines a call and discuss it with them or evenvisit one of the Web Counselling websites we've found. Getting professionalhelp is an important thing to do and it could really get you going on to theroad of recovery.
