How do astrophysics and cosmology study the universe?

Astrophysics studies the physical nature of objects in space. Scientists in this field study stars, planets, galaxies, nebulae, and black holes. Cosmology, on the other hand, looks at the universe on the largest possible scale. Rather than focusing on individual objects, cosmologists study the origin, structure, and evolution of the entire universe.
