kim dokja doesn't seem surprised by this, so it likely happened in both versions of 1863 a similar way and it was because gabriel betrayed eden somehow... apparently groveling to a demon king but kdj doesn't consider her a traitor exactly

so. did gabriel sacrifice all of eden to save uriel...

oh, right. we also have uriel's last words in ways of survival (the end of sp's 1836rd turn): "...Gabriel... I'm sorry."
