So reading through the office AU tag you said that Gheris(?) would most likely be wheelchair bound. Though if he only hurt his one leg then would he use crutches instead?

The injury isn't exactly the same in the Office AU, given the lack of swords and magic.

Also, the tools a disabled person chooses for themselves depends on several factors! Perhaps he has both crutches and a chair, but I like to think he prefers the chair for longer days or further travels. His arms are still plenty strong and he can travel around pretty fast! Maybe he'd sooner go for a cane for a shorter walk, so he can take his time and see the sights.

Day 10: Shield

To protect... that was his sacred duty. To love and nurture and defuse situations... that was his nature.

As a young knight, Gaheris would frequently hear others ask him why he held back during fights when he was plenty capable of bringing any opponent to their knees with his mighty strength, comparable to the most physical knights'. In return, Gaheris would speak his truth.

I'd rather not hurt people.

It became what he was known for, and Sir Gaheris would stand strong as the shield of the Round Table, his devotion to his own code shining through the darkest and coldest battles. Diplomacy was his greatest weapon, and he wielded it with his heart.

To be indestructible, invincible, was the dream. To stand between what he loved and the danger that faced them... Gaheris would run his hands over his bad leg and smile as he remembered that he had already done so.

He'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Do Gawain, Gheris, and Gareth all have traditions that they celebrate around the castle? Do any other Knights have traditions?

I'm sure Angel Village had some area-specific traditions. Some might be similar to G.U.N. traditions, given that the territory was once split by both kingdoms! The main things that come to mind are memorials for specific events in the village's history and some more observed days for their primary values (utmost loyalty to one's family, celebrations of love and joined souls, etc.).

Some knights would have some other traditions! Namely Sir Tristan and Sir Bors, since neither grew up in Avalon. They would bring over some ideas or practices from their own original kingdoms (also applies to Enid, Yseult, Guin, and Vivien). Otherwise it's mainly the worldwide religious celebrations!

I don't have any particular ideas or examples to give at the moment but I hope this is a good answer!

Do Gheris and Gareth wield swords or only their shields? Are they opposed to killing?

Yes, they are sword and shield knights! Gaheris' is larger and heavier because he's ridiculously strong, but he has a weapon as well.

They're more defensive fighters (Gaheris especially), but they know that taking lives may very well come up in their line of work. They're prepared to make that choice when it comes to it.
