I just saw this picture and my heart actually hurt. We live on the most amazing planet - it supports innumerable lifeforms and one species has managed to destroy it.
As someone who considers herself positive I am reminded by a quote I heard - I think it mother Theresa who said 'I'm not anti war I am pro peace'. I feel the same way about saving the planet. I'm not about being anti climate change. I'm for kindness to all parts of the earth including the planet.
I started following solar pink a couple of years ago but I was slightly put off when certain Pele started becoming very combative and aggressive which is not a way I am choosing to be. I am aiming for a more GAIAPUNK - making being a sort of mother nature in training a way for me to be.
I would love to have more solar and renewable sources in the world as I believe these are essential. But I believe that part of this is to be kind to people as well as the planet.
I am making choices to choose as many natural fabrics as I can and where possible I am getting pre-loved pieces for my home. I am making a conscious decision to avoid 'fast fashion' and trying to by locally where I can. I'm growing my own vegetables and fruits for next summer and I am eliminating as much single use plastic from my life as possible. I'm not perfect and it will take time but if we all made a significant effort then we could make a significant difference.
